Born in 1998, Agnes Tachyon was a son of Sunday Silence out of Agnes Flora. His entire racing career amounted to four starts and four wins. He beat Jungle Pocket in the 2000 Radio Tampa Hai Sansai Stakes, then won the Yayoi Sho and Satsuki Sho in 2001 — three graded victories, all over 2,000 metres on turf. The Satsuki Sho that April proved to be his final race, leaving an unbeaten Classic winner and plenty of room for fans to imagine what might have followed.

Agnes Tachyon approaches racing as an experiment in the limits of speed. Brilliant, curious and cheerfully reckless, she tests her theories on herself and anyone she can recruit as a guinea pig.
