• Kobushi Sho — 2002
• Satsuki Sho — 2002

Sent off only 15th choice for the 2002 Satsuki Sho, No Reason stunned Nakayama by winning in 1:58.5 — half a second inside Narita Brian's course record. The Brian's Time colt never found that form again: eighth in the Derby, and then, sent off favourite for the Kikuka Sho, he stumbled leaving the gate and unseated Yutaka Take before the race had begun. Three wins from twelve starts; he later survived the 2011 disaster in Fukushima and lived until 2024.

Grinning, scheming and utterly convinced that world domination is just a matter of time, No Reason needs no reason at all to chase a dream. Her warlord streak runs deep — she has helmets custom-made to fit her ears, appraises tea ware for fun, and her father cheers her races on a war drum. A Late Surger over middle-distance turf who bides her time, then springs the coup.

She's in today's answer pool — put your knowledge to the test.
