That unbeaten campaign included five G1 victories — both Tenno Sho, the Takarazuka Kinen, Japan Cup and Arima Kinen — and earned him JRA Horse of the Year. He added a second Tenno Sho (Spring) in 2001 for seven G1 wins in all.
